Everyone finished all assignments at school :) Woo-hoo, hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm so proud of my awesome group of kiddos!
Language Arts - copy spelling words Reading - Favorite Book Advertisement Math - Fraction numberline quick check Social Studies - none Science - none What exactly do I expect from students when it comes to homework and responsibility?
I expect students to write all assignments in their planners daily. It is important that they develop a sense of responsibility and ownership for their decisions and actions. I expect students to complete all assignments and turn them in on time. You can't expect to pass if you aren't turning in assignments. Also, most social studies and science assignments will require the respective book to complete assignments correctly. Completing assignments with incorrect answers has almost the same result of not doing the assignment. The answers are in the book - I promise! Use your book to look up assignment questions - you may have to read a little. You'll survive, and your grades will thank you! Of course things happen, schedules change, emergencies/surprises come up, and there may be a day when someone wasn't able to write down their assignments, or we weren't able to ensure that assignments were written completely/correctly in planners. Don't worry - this page on the site will have the daily homework assignments. I am working on a way for you to be able to submit questions about homework (after leaving school for the day) where I can answer them (on this site) so you don't have to wait until the next morning at school. For now, you can submit your question in the comment section of the daily assignments. If your question is posted by 8:30 p.m., I should have an explanation/answer for you by 10 p.m. If your question isn't on here by 8:30, I can't promise I'll see it or be able to answer it that evening. I have to implement a time frame for asking questions - I do have a little one, a life (sort of) and I am a fan of sleep :) *Please remember, I'm not going to just give you an answer. Remember what we tell you in the classroom when you ask those questions: "Read your lesson. Look in the glossary. The answer is in the book!" I'm sure you're thinking, "Well, if you aren't giving me answers, then, what is the point of your so-called 'homework help?'" Good question - I can explain the process of working out math problems or the rules you need to remember for grammar. I'm not going to do your homework for you, but I'll be more than happy to help :) |
