I expect students to write all assignments in their planners daily. It is important that they develop a sense of responsibility and ownership for their decisions and actions. I expect every student to complete all assignments and turn them in on time. Completing assignments with incorrect answers has almost the same result of not doing the assignment. The answers are in the book - I promise! Use your book to look up assignment questions - you may have to read a little. You'll survive, and your grades will thank you!
Of course things happen, schedules change, emergencies/surprises come up, and there may be a day when someone wasn't able to write down their assignments. Don't worry - this page on the site should have homework assignments for the students in mine and Mrs. Wheeley's classrooms.
If you need help, you can submit your question in the comment section of the daily assignments. (**Please remember, I only teach math and science. I will help with other subjects as best as I can, but I don't have a book or know exactly what Mrs. Wheeley expects because I am not in her class.) If your question is posted by 8:30 p.m., I should have an explanation/answer for you by 10 p.m. If your question isn't on here by 8:30, I can't promise I'll see it or be able to answer it that evening. I have to implement a time frame for asking questions - I do have a little one, a life (sort of) and I am a fan of sleep :) *Please remember, if you're asking a Think and Search question (from a reading story I haven't read, science, or social studies), I can't really help you with that. Also, you know I'm not going to just give you an answer. Remember what we tell you in the classroom when you ask those questions: "Read your lesson. Look in the glossary. The answer is in the book!" I'm sure you're thinking, "Well, if you aren't giving me answers, then, what is the point of your so-called 'homework help?'" Good question - I can explain the process of working out math problems or the rules you need to remember for grammar. I'm not going to do your homework for you, but I'll be more than happy to help :)
